What a FUN weekend!

Friday after school Ryan and I went to The Little America in Salt Lake to celebrate our anniversary... 14 wonderful years! My mom watched the kids for us. We ate at The Little America Stake House. The food was really good! Here is a picture of our room.

Today, we did some shopping. Kenzie needed new cheer shoes and green clothes for the play. We bought each of the kids a surprise and a new book to read. I finally found some books Kayden and Kenzie liked at Deseret Book! I was so happy! They both have almost finished their books. These two have not been excited about reading lately. I bought the book "To Draw Closer To God" by Henry B. Eyring. It is really good. He is one of my favorite leaders! I bet you can't guess why? Ryan bought two books as well. Then Ryan let me go to the Estee Lauder Counter so I could get the free gift! How nice of him to stand there and wait for me! I love buying make-up! Ryan and I had such a good time shopping! We ate breakfast at The Little America... I ate way too much and haven't eaten since! I am not use to eating that big of a breakfast and I think it put my body into shock! I have felt full the entire day...Which is strange for me. This afternoon I took my girls to the tennis court to play some tennis. Tayler was doing really well hitting the ball back and forth with me. Kenzie did an awesome job hitting it against the board on the fence! They both loved it and want their own rackets now! I made a bunch of power points for school tonight. It feels good to have those finished! Ryan has been watching basketball all day long! Well, I guess I better get to bed so I can wake up for church!

So glad you had such a great weekend. I'm so jealous, maybe sometime Rich and I will have to get away also.

Way to go you two - it's so important to ditch the kids and have some time away. I laughed so hard though at the fact you had to bring something back for them. Every few months when Klay and I sneak away . . . I ALWAYS bring something back for them. It's like this sick addiction I have. Klay hates it and just wishes I'd spend the money on myself. At least you got them books, that's awesome.

LIttle America is my favorite place. It's become a tradition for Matt and I try to go there once a year together. I'm glad you guys had a good time.

Also, Kayden is the age Bradley was when he started to dislike reading. The "cool" books are too hard for them and they get frustrated. After he's done with this dinosaur series, try the "Beast Quest" series and then the "Secrets of Droon" books. Both of those series really helped Bradley enjoy reading again.

And, I just remembered you were on the tennis team... way to pass on the skills!

Congratulations on your anniversary!
I didn't know you were a tennis player. I haven't played for a long time, but I used to love it! We need to have a match sometime :)
