Time-off for good behavior

I am such a nice teacher! I decided to give my students Monday off... for such good behavior. Anyway, that means I get a three day weekend! Well... this is how it is going. I have not felt good this week. Tuesday, I came home and went straight to bed! My throat has been hurting, I thought maybe I was getting strep. I woke up this morning and Tayler wouldn't go with me to Kayden's 8:00 basketball game (that is a stupid time for a Saturday morning basketball game). She said she was sick... I thought she was faking (I am a nice mother). Anyway, I came home from the game and found this cute little Kenzie girl fixing breakfast in bed for her sister. This is a moment that is totally blog worthy!

Anyway, Ryan and I ran to Logan. My throat was killing me! I looked in my mouth and I had these sores. We went to eat and it hurts to eat, it has all week though, but when I checked my mouth the sores had popped and they were bleeding! That is totally worth blogging because I am sure it is grossing you all out! Anyway, I went to the InstaCare and I have Herpangina. It is not some kind of STD, although it sounds like one! You can read what it is here. Anyway, I think Tayler has it too and the doctor said I probably caught it at school. It is contagious so I can't share a drink with any of you for a couple of days... sorry all my drink sharing friends! Anyway, I should be over it in about 3 days and then I will be able to eat again!

Anyway, the whole point of this blog post was that I thought Kenzie was so sweet to take care of her sister like that! She is such a sweetheart! Way to go Kenzie! I also wanted to see how many times I could use the word anyway! (7 counting this one!)

I am so sorry! I should have totally called you yesterday. Klay took me to the Blackstone for lunch. We could have shared drinks . . . what a bummer. I hope you have some good antibiotics. Jackson got something kind of like that once and they gave him a medicated mouthwash? Rest up and enjoy your day off tomorrow! Also, I LOVE the picture of Kenzie. She is such a good helper!

A long time ago my kids got hand, foot & mouth disease from the same virus. I went to your link ;-) that's how I know. It looks painful! Take care of yourself.

That sounds awful! It is the worst when your throat hurts and you can't eat anything! Hope you start feeling better soon!:) Rest, Rest, Rest!

I'm so sorry that you don't feel good. I hope your starting on the up and up, it would be a shame to have a day off of work and be sick. Call me if you need anything.

What a good girl that Kenzie is! Just so you know...Ty had hand foot and mouth disease when he was about 2,and we were pretty sure it was from licking a garbage can at the park. Have you been licking any garbage cans lately? That could be the problem instead of your students.....Gives you something to think about! J/K! Hope you are feeling better! And Tayler too!

I promise I have NOT been licking garbage cans! Maybe one of my students did though? Maybe Sherri has... I better stop sharing drinks with her. Call me Julie next time you go to the Blackstone, maybe I should start sharing your drinks instead!

One time at Blackstone, our waiter brought us complimentary cream sodas because he thought my sister Jessie was hot. They were heavenly. Then she dated him and he made us cream sodas at my parents house. That's my Blackstone story. Maybe we should get all gussied up and see if we can score some free drinks? (I don't think I've ever used the word gussied. It makes us sound like great great great grandmas.) What? They might have middle aged waiters there too, you never know? Not everyone is a college kid in that town.

On second thought, maybe we should just take Jess with us.

Sounds Painful. Sorry your sick. Hope it's over soon. There is nothing worse than being sick on your days off.
